Hi all...

On our second day of Chuseok we headed to the Manjanggul Lava Tubes!

First time using the bus!!

Grandfather stone!

Interesting statue at the bus station!

At the Manjanggul Lava Tubes.  Great fountain!

Before making our descent...

Here goes nothing...

Lava tube selfie!

This lava rock is actually roped off underground.  It is a preserved lava rock because it is actually in the shape of Jeju!

Beautiful lava column!

Oh you know... just walking in a lava tube...

We made it out!

Every where you look... scenery like this takes over!

After the lava tubes our day was just beginning... we headed to Gimnyeong Seongsegi Beach to catch some rays!

I discovered that these stacked rocks are an ancient symbol of peace and religion.  Today, many follow the tradition by stacking rocks and wishing for good luck/good fortune for friends, family and themselves!

Right across the street from the beach!

Waiting for the bus!

What a day!

Love,
K.
