Hi all...

This Saturday we went to beautiful Jungmun Beach.  The weather was a bit overcast, but it certainly didn't take away from the beach's natural beauty!

These grandfather stones are ALL over the island.  They are supposed to bring good luck!  Also, if a pregnant woman rubs it's belly, they will have a boy. =)

Breath-taking!

Zoe and me!  Roomie Love! =)

Makes you feel so small standing at the doorway of this abyss.

Jeju is the island of women.

Amazing street that leads you down the cliff to the beach!

BHA girls not so sure about the water...

I couldn't resist leaving my mark on this place...

I definitely need to go back on a sunny day! =)

After the beach we headed to Home Plus to do some shopping.. found some comfort foods/products!

Who knew I could travel to Jeju, South Korea for a Cape Cod t-shirt!!! Crazy!

SPAM!  These "gift" sets are absolutely everywhere... my roommate even got a can of spam that is green tea flavored!

Oreos!!

My one true love... KETCHUP!!

FOUND THE ICE CREAM!!!

The two pictures above have small figurines etc. that are all made out of paper... they were so unbelievable I had to take a picture.  Seriously taking origami to the next level!!

Today, Zoe and I did some exploring around the city.  Here is what we saw/came across!

Beautiful dresses on display!

I can't get enough of this city!  Feeling so lucky to be here!

hahaha a little bright for my blue eyes... but sweet background!

The ocean is so close!

Cool stone sculpture... not sure what it means (if anything)... but interesting nonetheless!

Awesome garden areas along the main roads in Jeju-si!

Another little grandfather stone!

Sidewalk in Jeju-si!

I'm really curious about these stacked stones (tiny ones on top of this big stone).  When you look at them up close you have to wonder how someone could stack them... the balance that is involved is unbelievable.  I'm thinking it might have something to do with peace or religion??

YAY!!

I mean... how cool!  It says Jeju and has a grandfather stone... what more could I ask for...

Zoe, Devon and I ate a place called Caffe Bene a few blocks from our apartment... Gelato Waffles!  Yum!!

We made short work of them! =)

I "mustache" you if this would be perfect for the 4th??

Arcade!! Right near the apartment... we also found a movie theater that plays movies in English with Korean subtitles... SCORE!

That's all for now...

Love,
K.
